Teo Milea – a different kind of jazz

I tried to understand why his music fascinates me, beyond my obvious attraction towards music of any kind. I thought it was because of the natural way in which his music grows from frenzy to quietness (in the most musical ways possible). I would`t rule out the fact that you can leave his music playing while you do your own work; it`s there, it sorrounds you in the most warmest way, but only to create the necessary framework. Actually, I found the answer on his official site (where you can also find a few songs to listen):

"My audience needs neither specialty studies, nor a musical lexicon to understand my compositions. My audience understands my message exactly and in real time, it doesn’t seek to decode subsequently what I tried to transmit in one hour of recital. My music is a targeted one, with instant effect." (Teo Milea)

On November 16, Teo Milea returns to Bucharest for a new piano recital at Godot Cafe-Teatre and I hope the planets will line up in such a way that I will find myself in Bucharest (even if that means for me to drive from Bistrita to Bucharest especially for this event). It`s on Sunday, at 9 PM, so you can relax waiting for a new week to begin.
