In the recording studio or playing the piano...in the forest, filming amidst trees - this is how we have been meeting Teo Milea the last few weeks. He is making ready a few surprises, before leaving for Canada this autumn. The artist will be releasing his new album Open Minds with an extraordinary concert on October 1 at the Banatul Philharmonic Hall in Timisoara and he is also working on a new video.
Cathedral, Streets in crayon, 1st Sun, Forever Yours, Silence and Journey - are the songs that will be on Teo Milea`s new record Open Minds, the record that is already available for pre-order on the musician`s website. This is Teo`s second album of original compositions. The first one, On white...and black keys, has been winning over the public since its release three years ago.
The new compositions by Teo Milea will be presented to the public in an extraordinary concert that is to take place on this October 1, at the Banatul Philharmonic Hall. It will be a last encounter with the public from Timisoara before the pianists` relocation to Toronto, together with his wife, at the end of October. The artist is looking forward to the big stages and has already programmed a first concert in Canada.
"Through my music I met a new, honest world, smiling and with a radiating joy. I stepped into the world I had dreamed of and wished for, the world of open-minded people, the universe where fairy-tales are told through the voice of music. With Open Minds, my piano music enters a new dimension of sensitivity and perception and for the release concert I promise that everything that you enjoy will be given to you and more...Open Minds is my thank you message addressed to all my friends for all the support and trust they have given me these years and also, it is a call to tolerance, joy and friendship." Teo said.
For the cover design of the new album Teo worked with painter Lucian Tidorescu, who has also made two paintings for the cover that will be exhibited on October 1st, at the album release concert.
The artist is also preparing a video for the song "Silence", made together with an old collaborator, Amalia Gaita. This time Amalia is not singing alongside Teo, but she made the video and she will also prepare the visuals for the release concert at the Philharmonic. The video will premiere on September 1.
The Open Minds release concert will take place on October 1, starting 7 PM, tickets at 30 lei per piece.
